MicroVision

Challenge: We were tasked with securing meaningful media coverage for MicroVision as it launched the first laser pico projector — a standalone portable device that projected large DVD-quality images onto any surface — at one of the most intense tech trade show environments on the planet: CES.

Results: We worked with MicroVision from the planning stages through execution on its CES presence,  creating pitch messaging as well as a memorable theme for the company’s booth. We devised an “It’s so cool, it’s evil” story line involving a Dr. Evil look-alike who interacted with CES attendees and who wowed the audience (and judges) at Last Gadget Standing. We stood side-by-side with MicroVision staff during CES Unveiled 2010, demonstrating SHOWWX for press, securing more than 200 stories in outlets spanning the AP, Reuters, Wired, Engadget, the BBC, CNN and NPR. We booked and staffed meetings on the show floor, and we helped the company earn the  Last Gadget Standing award and a CES Innovation Award. During our three+-year run with MicroVision, we literally secured thousands of high-impact stories in a wide range of business and trade outlets.
