Challenge: In 2005 when we started working with Akustica, the commercial MEMS industry was still on the upswing. Hence, few reporters were covering it. On top of that, much larger MEMS microphone suppliers already dominated the market.
Results: We helped Akustica to define its message and conducted its first major product launch, touting its microphone’s unique differentiators. We developed and nurtured long-lasting press relationships, securing meaningful coverage that had an impact. Akustica became an industry darling, impressing analysts, winning awards and securing considerable press coverage. Bosch Sensortec, now the largest provider of consumer MEMS devices, acquired Akustica.
